Flexible Date and Timestamp Formatting
Working with dates across different systems and regions can be challenging due to varying format standards. Our Date Formatter Tool simplifies this process by allowing you to convert any date and time into a wide array of formats. Whether you need a machine-readable ISO string, a human-readable format, or a Unix timestamp, this tool provides an instant solution.
How It Works
The tool parses the input date and time and then uses a selected format string to reconstruct it. You can choose from a list of common presets or define your own custom format using a set of intuitive tokens. The output is generated in real-time as you make changes.
Key Features
- Multiple Presets: Quickly format dates using common standards like ISO 8601 (YYYY-MM-DD), US format (MM/DD/YYYY), and European format (DD.MM.YYYY).
- Custom Formatting: Create any date format you need by typing a custom string with formatting tokens (e.g., `dddd, MMMM D, YYYY`).
- Timestamp Conversion: Instantly convert your date into a Unix timestamp, available in both seconds and milliseconds.
- Token Reference Guide: An expandable reference guide is included directly in the tool, showing you all available tokens for years, months, days, hours, and more.
- "Now" Button: Instantly populate the input with the current date and time for quick formatting.
- Copy to Clipboard: Easily copy the formatted output with a single click.
